What:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary and Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a burglary suspect who recently stole from a diner in unincorporated St. Petersburg.
When:
The burglary occurred on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at approximately 3:32 a.m.
Where:
The burglary occurred at Doe Doe’s Diner located at 9395 Bay Pines Blvd. in unincorporated St. Petersburg.
Why/How:
Pinellas County detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a burglary suspect who recently stole from a diner in unincorporated St. Petersburg.
According to detectives the suspect was observed pulling into the parking lot of Doe Doe’s Diner located at 9395 Bay Pines Blvd. in St. Petersburg on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at approximately 3:32 a.m. The suspect exits the vehicle, takes a bicycle from the bike rack and places it in the bed of the truck. He then forcibly breaks into the rear of the diner, takes an undisclosed amount of money from the register and leaves.
The suspect is described as a white male, thin build, approximately 5’5” to 5’8” tall with a beard. He was last observed wearing a camouflage hat, dark shorts, and a light colored shirt.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white Ford Ranger, possibly 2006 to 2009, with a silver tool box.
Detectives believe this suspect could be linked to an additional burglary at a nearby business, River Sweet Citrus, located at 209 150th Avenue in Madeira Beach.
The investigation continues.
