14-228 Metro PCS Armed Robbery Suspects Are Under Arrest (For Further Details See Release #s 14-224 and 14-226)

What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have arrested two suspects for an armed robbery that occurred at a Metro PCS store in Largo tonight, Friday September 5, 2014; and in connection with armed robberies at several Metro PCS stores in Pinellas County.

At least 4 other robberies have occurred at Metro PCS stores in Pinellas County since Saturday, August 30, 2014. The first occurred at the Metro PCS located at 1363 Main Street in Dunedin. The second armed robbery occurred at the Metro PCS located at 7700 US 19 North in Pinellas Park. The third armed robbery occurred at 6581 102nd Avenue in Pinellas Park. The fourth armed robbery occurred at 3665 East Bay Drive in unincorporated Largo. (For further details see Release 14-224 and 14-226).

When:
The robbery occurred at about 6:45 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014.

Where:
The robbery occurred at the Metro PCS store located at 11881 Seminole Boulevard in Largo.

Why/How:
According to detectives, preliminary information is as follows: 56-year-old Bernard Woods entered the store. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. He then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the store in a white vehicle along with 19 year-old Joshua JnMarie.

The vehicle was spotted by patrol deputies in the area of Ulmerton and Seminole Boulevard; a traffic stop was conducted and the suspects were taken into custody.

Detectives are currently interviewing the suspects and additional charges are forthcoming.

Photos of the suspects will be available once the booking process is complete.

The investigation continues.
